I'm Merl Syrex Chandana. This website is part workshop, part notebook, part public record of what I am trying to understand.

I more or less lifted this site wholesale from Jack Hogan and have been tinkering with it as a way to learn web development. But I’ve also long wanted a place for my thoughts to accumulate. I’m interested in machine learning, AI's impact on society and the future of work, public policy, education, sports, and the odd corners where these collide. Much of it is shaped by life and work in Sri Lanka; some of it is simply curiosity given too long a leash.

The result will probably be eclectic, and I probably can't connect all the dots at any given time
